Know Your Mobile describes the LG G Watch as a bigger watch than most standard timepieces. The screen is surrounded by metal for the sides and plastic for the rear including a rubber strap which can be substituted to a standard watch strap if users desire to do so. All user input has to go via the touchscreen, or via voice commands since the unit does not feature any button. When the watch is totally shut down, the only way to turn it back on again is to plug it in a charger even when you just accidentally turned it off. The G Watch which comes with a Gorilla Glass screen and metal casing is water and dust proof.
Meanwhile, the round-faced Moto 360 got a classic watch look. Lior Ron, product lead for the Moto 360 explained it in a video.
"We were very inspired by watches," said Lior Ron. "It set to create balance of design and functionality. There's something really magical about the round shape... it's classical," he added.
The round design is an advantage in terms of orientation. Users can wear it in either hand without changing its visual appeal and usefulness at the same time. The only button we can see from the photos of the Moto 360 is placed on the side, and it is equally accessible if positioned on the left or the right.
According to Load The Game, this smart watch is rumored to have a round OLED display. Motorola has not confirmed the technology it's using but the company already hinted at some "secret" charging technology based on the leaked photos of the Moto 360. A purple area is visible at the back of the smart watch which might approve of some form of Qi charging. There is no USB port on the side or back of the gadget suggesting its wireless design standpoint.
Other buzzes advise that the screen will be protected by sapphire glass, a material that is being used for high-end watches.
