Lindsay Lohan is set to debut as a theater actress as she is now part of Dante Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow" theater production that will open in London West End later this year.
Lindsay Lohan's debut as a theater actress marks her return in show business after a long hiatus due to DUI charges and other scandals.
When asked by BBC in an interview if Lindsay Lohan, who is notorious for being unprofessional in her last film shoot endeavors, will miss performances on her stage debut in London, the 28-year old star answered that it's not going to happen.
"I'm at a place in my life where I like the commitment. I'm looking forward to that part of it."
Lindsay Lohan debut as a theater actress will official start in late September when rehearsals for "Speed-the-Plow" begin, but she already felt "very lucky and excited and nervous" for her upcoming stage debut in London West End, BBC reports.
On the same BBC interview, Lohan spoke about restarting a showbiz career and picking up her shattered image from scandals and rumors, turning public perception of her as a tabloid celebrity rather than a must-watch actress.
"I want to be known for my talents and my work that I create, rather than a tabloid sensation. However long it does take, I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to work for it," she said.
Meanwhile, Lindsay has sent feelers that she is now thinking about moving in London "for good", as the atmosphere is far different from that in the US.
"I've noticed here, watching the news, you guys have such a different outlook. In the US starting at 5pm it's TMZ, it's all these shows talking about people's personal lives and here I don't notice any of that - it's news and politics and music," she told BBC.
"So it's nice to be able to turn on the TV and not everything is about gossip. That's a really nice feeling."
