Fans who weren't able to catch the hottest joint concert this summer will get to see it in the comforts of their homes. Golden couple Jay Z and Beyonce's "On The Run" tour will be heading to the small screen soon. The Carters have partnered with HBO to shoot a documentary of their epic concert.
The special, which will feature an extensive set list of over 40 songs from the two shows in France, is aimed to bring the Paris concert experience to fans back home. HBO has already released a 26 second trailer for Jay Z and Beyonce's "On The Run" special.
Aside from the spectacular performances, fans who went to the previous concerts have also reported seeing intimate family moments being shown during the concert's encore, including footage of daughter Blue Ivy and the couple's intimate wedding in 2008.
The "On The Run" HBO special will feature footage from their September 12 and 13 gigs at the Stade de France in Paris, the only concert the couple will have outside of the US.
MTV reported HBO's network programming president, Michael Lombardo as saying, "This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO. It's going to be a night to remember."
Breakup and infidelity rumors have plagued the couple all throughout the tour but the star couple have proved that their pairing is still as hot as ever with this HBO special film. Concert-goers and reviews of Jay Z and Beyonce's "On The Run" tour have attested to the unmistakable chemistry that the Carters share.
This concert special follows Queen Bey's previous documentary with the network. "Life Is But A Dream" follows the superstar's life and also served as Blue Ivy's introduction to the world. Ten four-minute episode clips from her "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour is also airing before every new "True Blood" episode.
Jay Z also chose the pay-cable network to premiere his "Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film."
