Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have publicly announced via the website GOOP that they were "consciously uncoupling" last March. However, months after their announcement, the pair seems to have been closer. According to Huffington Post, Paltrow and Martin were seen with their children in the Hamptons last week. According to a witness, "They were operating like a couple, and with the kids, looked like a happy family."
"They were in good spirits and looked like a very happy family," a source told E! News. "Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and enjoyed the evening together," the witness added.
Daily Mail reported that Chris Martin was spotted the following day checking the lanes of a sports store and picking up skateboards at Gubbins. Reportedly, this is for his daughter, Apple. The Coldplay frontman was seen meeting Paltrow and their children at Fierro's Pizza after shopping.
Back in June, People Magazine implied that the pair looked like they might be considering staying together. A friend of the couple is agreeing with the possibility.
"They haven't made any concrete decision to get back together yet, but clearly it's a possibility. At this point, some of the pressure was just taken off them - pressure they put on themselves to "make it work," says a friend of the couple.
"They have spent more time together than they did when they were a couple. When they are out together, all they do is laugh and act flirty and playful. Gwyneth didn't want to end the marriage and is happy that she and Chris still have a close relationship. He's been a great father and that has helped keep the flame alive. They clearly love each other and always will, and if the romance comes back, they'll go with it if it feels right," the friend added.
The duo made it clear when they revealed they were splitting that they were doing so in good terms, saying, "We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."
