Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date and specs is expected to be unveiled in September. According to Latino Post, the next generation phone and tablet hybrid is expected to be launched during the upcoming 2014 IFA Annual Congress in Berlin. It was speculated recently that a retina scanner will be included in this new smart gadget. Now, Samsung Exynos Twitter account teases that the iris scanner might be introduced in the upcoming phablet.
The tweet posted last July 12 says, "Security can be improved using features unique to us. That's what we envision. What would you use?"
The image shows a smartphone with an eye scanner on display. The illustration has a list of expenses for electricity, mobile and grocery bills with an option to "pay", suggesting that the feature could be used for making payments. Samsung's social media post according to Digital Times "obviously points to an iris scanner being featured in an upcoming device."
Since Samsung will likely release a model that will be powered by a new 8 core Samsung Exynos 5433 processor according to a report from Value Walk, it can be a possibility that the eye scanning technology will be a key feature of the Note 4.
Value Walk also conveyed that media reports from Korea point to another key feature of this device, an extremely powerful camera unit that is rumored to be included in this new phablet. Latest buzzes have suggested that the Galaxy Note 4 will include optical image stabilization technology to produce clearer, blur-free images. Galaxy Note 4 is expected to have 16-megapixel ISOCELL sensors, one that first appeared in Galaxy S5. This is presumed from an internal Samsung roadmap leaked online last year that showed the company's plan to take in this kind of sensors on its flagship smartphones throughout 2014.
Leaks also suggest that the Galaxy Note 4 device will be running in an Android 4.4.3 OS.
