"No one is born evil," Daniel Radcliffe narrates in the first "Horns" trailer. "But sometimes, when you go through hell, the only way out is to go deeper into the fire."
The "Woman In Black" star returns to the horror genre as he brings to life a wrongly accused man who develops powers from horns that sprout from his head. The Harry Potter famed star wakes up with a pair of devil's horns and gets accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend in the eerie new movie
With his new-found supernatural ability to wring confessions from people, he goes on a mission to find out the truth about his girlfriend's death.
The "Horns" trailer features Radcliffe as Ig Perrish, wearing hoodies to hide the pointed things growing on his head, talking to snakes (like Harry Potter), driving a muscle car, and sporting an American accent.
Radcliffe is joined by "The Social Network's" Max Minghella, Juno Temple, and Heather Graham. Alexander Aja who helmed the equally bone-chilling horror film, "The Hills Have Eyes," is directing the film.
Meanwhile, Radcliffe will be seen in a lot less creepy film set to hit theaters on August 1. He co-stars with Zoe Kazan in the romantic comedy "What If."
"Horns" is based off of the best selling novel with the same name written by Stephen King's son, Joe Hill. It first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last fall and will be shown at the San Diego Comic-Con next week according to Entertainment Weekly.
The film is aptly set to hit UK theaters on Halloween, October 31, but has not announced a US release date yet.
A poster was also released featuring Radcliffe in a black and white newspaper's front page, hinting at the film's story. His glowing eyes, along with the the movie's title are the only colored parts in the poster. "Walk deeper into the fire" is also cleverly highlighted in the newspaper-like poster.
