In the past year there have been several dramas and comedies that feature couples with an age difference of more than a decade. Mostly they have been noona romances such as "Secret Love Affair" and "A Witch's Romance" in which the woman is much older than the man. In "Secret Love Affair" Yoo Ah In, 27 fell in love with Kim Hee Ae, 47. "Witch's Romance paired Uhm Jong Hwa, 43, with actor Park Seo Joon, 26. But this year also saw Yoona, 24, fall in drama love with Lee Bum Soo, 44, in "The Prime Minister and I."

Now Girls Generation member Sooyoung will play a woman who falls for a much older man in "Spring Days of My Life." In real life she is 24 and Kam Woo Sung, who plays the older man, is 43.

In "Spring Days Of My Life" she plays a terminally ill patient who gets a heart transplant and ends up meeting the husband of the woman whose heart she received. Sooyoung plays Lee Bom Yi, the patient, who gets a second chance at life. Kam Woo Sung plays Kang Dong Ha, a widower. And since his wife died in an accident he is now a single father raising two children.

When patients receive a heart transplant they can ask to meet the family of the donor but both parties have to agree to the meeting. Sometimes donors refuse. In this case they agree to meet and Lee Bom Yi's new heart seems to know where it belongs.

According to a representative from the drama's production company, it will be a heartwarming and sentimental love story.

Director Lee Dae Jong knows all about sentimental love stories, as his last drama was the teary melodrama "Missing You" with Park Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye.

The director was very careful to choose the right actors for the role and thinks that Sooyoung and Kam Woo Sung fit the roles perfectly.

Soo Young previously appeared in "Dating Agency: Cyrano" and "The Third Hospital."

Kam Woo Sung played a court jester in the film "The King and the Clown." His last drama was "The King of Legend" in 2010.

"Spring Days" will follow "Fated To Love You."
