Selena Gomez's bully reportedly made a comment on one of the singer-actress' posts, writing "Burn in hell with cancer", said a report from Huffington Post.

The 21-year-old star lashed back at the hater's rudeness on July 12 - not just by replying about the distasteful comment, but by sharing a screenshot of her response:

"The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman. I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart. You won't be winning 'anyone's' heart that way. Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You're beautiful."

The singer captioned her screenshot, saying: "Honestly, I don't speak up much because it's simply *always* taken out of context. But I don't take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything."

Selena Gomez's bully soon after deactivated her Instagram account, shown in the star's cropped screenshot as "official.kerry". The hater also deleted the cancer-related comment.

A report from MTV has pointed out that the young star's smallest moves are scrutinized, particularly due to her controversial on-again-off-again relationship with pop star Justin Beiber. However, standing up for an issue as sensitive as cancer was a move that has earned Gomez the admiration of many.
