Queen Beyonce again proves her supremacy!
MTV has come out with the list of nominees for the 2014 Video Music Awards and Beyoncé leads the pack with eight nominations. Rapper Eminem and Singer Iggy Azala follow with seven nods each.
The most prestigious award of the VMAs, Video of the Year will see Beyoncé's "Drunk In Love" battling it out with Azalea's "Fancy," Pharrell Williams' "Happy," Sia's "Chandelier" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball." It's a turnaround from last year's nominees, when country crooner Taylor Swift was the only female fighting for award; this time around, Pharrell is the only male on the list of nominees.
Beyoncé is also nominated with hubby Jay Z for Best Collaboration for "Drunk in Love," and she also gets a nod for Best Female Video for "Partition."
The singer also goes against former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland in the category for Best Video with a Social Message. She's up for the song, "Pretty Hurts," while Rowland is nominated for "Dirty Laundry."
Kim Kardashian's hubby, Kanye West, hasn't been left out by MTV. He gets a nomination for "Black Skinhead" in the Best Hip Hop category.
Another talked about category, Artist to Watch For includes British singer Sam Smith's "Stay With Me." He'll be battling it out with 5 Seconds of Summer's "She Looks So Perfect," Charli XCX's "Boom Clap," Schoolboy Q's "Man of the Year," and Fifth Harmony's "Miss Movin' On."
