This player does not play for the NBA, in fact, not many people are aware he's from around the area. Because of this when people talk about what's in around Las Vegas for the summer league, only a handful of people mention Quincy Miller of the Denver Nuggets.
Mentioning Miller makes things all worth it, though. Miller is a native of North Chicago. He would have played with a team from North Chicago High if he has not moved to the East coast. Miller joined a team from Baylor University for a year, before shifting his career into a professional one by drafting in second round in the NBA Nuggets in June 2012.
During his season as a rookie, many have noticed he has almost done virtually nothing significant. He was stuck in the D or minor league during the beginning of the recent season.
Not too long after, he started to make it a goal to achieve a spot in the big league group. He has not been a hot shot, statistically speaking. But, he was able to score an average of 5 points and 3 rebounds each game, for a poorly structured team.
He has given hope to Nuggets that he would live up to his promise to improve. And, as far as how things have been going in the summer league, he has proven he has continually live up to this commitment.
In two of the games in the summer league, Miller has scored 49 points, achieving 16 out of 29 in the field, and this included a 7 out of 12 at the back of the arc.
