Rumors of a Cameron Diaz Drew Barrymore relationship ended before it could even begin; Diaz has refuted reports she and the "50 First Dates" star ever hooked up.
Rumors started with Cameron's comments on being attracted to women, maintaining it's but natural to be drawn to the beauty in the same way men do. In a Glamour Magazine interview last May:
"I think women are beautiful - absolutely beautiful. And I think that all women have been sexually attracted to another woman at some point. It's natural to have connectivity and an appreciation for the beauty of other women."
Cameron also said she doesn't understand the envy between women. "I love women - and I don't believe in female jealousy." Her approval on romantic relationships between women sparked rumors she and long-time BFF Drew Barrymore are more than friends.
Cameron isn't affected by previous rumors, or how her image has been portrayed in the media. "Now that I'm getting older, people have stopped asking me about proving myself and started asking me whether I'm worried that I won't get any interesting roles any more - when, actually, older roles are the best roles for a woman."
The Cameron Diaz Drew Barrymore relationship is purely Platonic, though, and the former maintains they are like sisters. Any thought of a romantic relationship "makes me want to vomit in my mouth." "That's like saying I am having sex with my sister. Are you crazy? I wouldn't even menage with her!"
Even though she's settled the controversy regarding Drew, she's not closing her doors when it comes to future relationships. "Everybody tries things and sees things and checks them out, and either walks away or walks further in. It's life - it's what people do. I'm not going to tell people what I've done, but I'm also not going to say, 'No! I would never!' If I said that, I'd be shaming myself and shaming other people's choices. I don't want to add any stigma to someone's choice." (news.com.au)
Looks like the Cameron Diaz Drew Barrymore relationship stays Platonic, unless either blurts out comments to stir something new.
