NetherRealms Studios new game Mortal Kombat X release date has been confirmed.
Amazon recently released a listing of Mortal Kombat X's release date, but gave it a vague 2015. According to gaming news site Cyberland, an insider claimed that the PR officer for NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that the Mortal Kombat X release date is set for March 2015 on digital download.
There are also new characters that added to Mortal Kombat X and these are the demonic comic book superhero Spawn, slashers Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, and MK classics Motaro, Ermac, and Smoke.
Twitter user @JordanFortiz tweeted a photo of Spawn to Ed Boon hinting that the Mortal Kombat creator might consider adding him into the roster.
Gamer Headlines reports that YouTube username “Maximilian Dood” uploaded a game review of Mortal Kombat X, and mentioned that Ermac and Smoke are possibly added to game.
The game website also posted a concept art design of Ermac, and a photo of Smoke being killed by the new character Kotal Khan.
playstationlifestyle.net reports that Motaro might comeback in the new Mortal Kombat title, although NetherRealm Studios or Ed Boon had any sort of confirmation about it.
Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon teased fans that Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees are added in the game. Freddy Krueger was one of the guest characters in the previous Mortal Kombat game along with God of War protagonist Kratos.
"Friday the 13th," and its hockey masked Jason Vorhees. With the date just passing, fans were curious about the possibility of Crystal Lake's worst breast stroker featuring in the next MK title. "More likely than a DC Hero."
GAMENGUIDE reports that Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios may consider adding Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th in the game. But, the website later claimed that it won't happen due to the fact that Warner Bros. relinquished its rights to New Line Cinemas as Paramount Pictures started working on the next Friday the 13th movie.
