Nate Diaz news reveals UFC President Dana White's statements regarding the younger Diaz brother, saying that the former number one lightweight contender is no longer that relevant.

The outspoken executive spoke in front of members of the media in Dublin, Ireland, and was reported by MMA Fighting.

"Nate Diaz is not a needle mover," White said about the Nate Diaz news. "I love Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz is actually one of my favorite kids. I always got along with Nate, Nate was always great. Lowest rated FOX show ever."

White was referring to Nate Diaz's last fight against Gray Maynard at the Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale in November 2013. While the younger Diaz brother did win via first round TKO, he still opted to take an indefinite leave from mixed martial arts competition, mainly due to salary issues.

Dana White, however, countered his fighter's demands, adding that his elder brother is a bigger draw than he is.

"He doesn't pull the numbers in," White continued. "Nick (Diaz) is a needle mover. Nick moves the needle. [Nate] doesn't pull good numbers.

In an additional report by MMA Fighting regarding the Nate Diaz news, the younger Diaz brother's last fight against Maynard drew 1,129,000 viewers, which is said to be a successful number compared to usual Fight Night events.

But even so, Dana White is not as impressed, and finds it absurd how Nate Diaz makes his demands.

"This isn't a 'sort things out' thing," White stated. "You're under contract. You just signed this contract."

Like his brother Nick, Nate Diaz's drawing power is being one of the most controversial fighters in the octagon. He is brash, outspoken, and often times uses Twitter to create some buzz and post challenges against other fighters.

But for Dana White, Nate Diaz has not reached the level where the UFC management would heed to his demands.

"He seems like he's popular when you're looking on f--king Twitter and some website," White responded. "But the numbers, the real numbers, tell the truth. We know who moves needles and who doesn't move needles."

"If Nate Diaz was a massive needle mover, we'd have called him," he continued. "He'd be on the phone, we'd be figuring it out and we'd work it out. He doesn't move the needle."
