Xbox One will get its new updates come August, the PCMag reported.
The new Xbox One updates were mentioned in a post by Jeff Rubenstein in the Major Nelson blog. Major Nelson is the gamer tag of Larry Hryb, the director of programming for the Microsoft's gaming network, Xbox.
"We will begin implementing some of the features you requested by rolling out the next Xbox One system update for folks who get early access. We're looking forward to hearing feedback on features before we roll them out to all Xbox One consoles next month and beyond," the blog post said.
Xbox One updates to roll out a month from now include the social sharing ability that will allow users to have a dashboard of friends' activity feed that users can "Like" or "Comment" on. Users are also allowed to share game clips via their activity feed or private message to their friends.
The update will also include an "Expanded Friends are on Home" where gamers can view and be in-the-know of friends' latest activity and games played.
One of the most-requested features, the mobile purchase functionality is now added on the list of highlight features where users can make a remote purchase of games and other content using Xbox Smartglass of through Xbox.com. Gamers just need to set their Xbox units to "automatically take updates."
An updated Blu-ray player app is also added to enable 3D Blu-ray functionality on the Xbox One.
Microsoft also made some notification tweaks to be included in the latest update. For one, your game controller will now notify if it is already low in battery. Gamers will also have the option to turn off the notifications when it pops up.
The Xbox One updates are just a few of the things to expect from Microsoft as they are also gearing up in launching what the company dubbed "largest and most critically acclaimed line up of games for holiday 2014". Xbox One will also be shipped to 29 new destinations starting September.
