With all the controversy and speculation surrounding "Fifty Shades of Grey", there is another mystery to add to the mix.
Beyonce 'Fifty Shades of Grey' teaser shows a quick snippet of a new song on her Instagram, obviously hinting that at least one of the songs on the soundtrack that will be featured in the movie will be coming from her.
Morevover, according to Beyonce's video, the first trailer premieres this Thursday, July 24th.
The video shows some brief clips from the movie, paired with what sounds like a goth rendition of Beyonce's 2003 hit "Crazy In Love" and the hashtag #fiftyshades. We can't wait to hear more about this on the trailer.
Beyoncé's connection with the movie has been previously hinted at back in March when Beyoncé's "Haunted" popped up in Fifty Shades footage that premiered at CinemaCon. Beyonce did to confirm or deny any speculation but the fact that he was on the teaser probably means she will DEFINITELY be involved.
Beyonce is no stranger to soundtracks. In 2002, Beyoncé's "Work It Out" and "Hey Goldmember" made an appearance at the same time she had her big screen debut in Austin Powers in Goldmember, and for 2006's The Pink Panther, Knowles' "A Woman Like Me" and the Number One single "Check On It" were included.
She was also involved in Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records and Obsessed soundtracks, three more films where Beyoncé had a starring role. Only twice has she given a new track to a Beyoncé-less movie's soundtrack: "Wishing On a Star" for Roll Bounce and a cover of Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" for 2013's The Great Gatsby soundtrack, which was executively produced by Jay Z.
Beyonce's participation in "Fifty Shades of Grey" means the film is posed to be a hit. We can't wait for other developments on this!
