"The Simpsons" will go to Hollywood Bowl as it holds a series of live shows with orchestra on September 2014. The animated series will also come back to FOX for its 26th season.

Dubbed "The Simpsons: Take the Bowl," the family animated characters will have three days of orchestral live shows beginning September 12 until September 14 in Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the Rolling Stone reported on its website.

The three-day orchestra-accompanied shows will also mark The Simpsons' 26th season where major Simpsons, played by Hank Azaria (who voiced almost all characters in Springfield), Nancy Cartwright (who does the voice for Bart Simpson) and Yeardly Smith (who plays Lisa Simpson) will lead the pack of presenters in the show. "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening will provide anecdotes in the almost- 26 years-run of Emmy-award winning animated characters in television.

Weird Al Yankovic and Jon Lovitz are reportedly to appear as guests in the live shows when "The Simpsons" go to Hollywood Bowl.

Rolling Stone also mentioned that Hollywood Bowl will have the Springfield vibe to it. Live performances from special guests and screening of some selected scenes from the show's 25 seasons will be shown, as well as never-before-seen clips.

Prior to the live orchestral shows, TV network FXX is set to re-run all the 552 episodes of the longest-running animated TV series from August 21 to September 1st. FXX obtained the rights to every episode of "The Simpsons" in a $500 million deal, according to Rolling Stone.

The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra is tapped to provide the musical accompaniment on the entire show while resident conductor Thomas Wilkins will be the lead master of the orchestra.

Tickets for when "The Simpsons" go to Hollywood Bowl will be available on the website and the show will be screened at 8 p.m. of September 12 and 13 and at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th.

Meanwhile, The Simpsons is renewed for a 26th season by Fox TV network, according to Reuters.
