Singer Omarion was arrested last Friday, July 18 after being stopped on a traffic violation in San Fernando Valley in California. According to the TMZ report, the former "B2K" member and "You Got Served" actor was hailed by police for running a stop sign.

When the 29-year-old Grammy nominee was pulled over, the law enforcer then found out that a warrant was already out for his arrest, in connection to his non-appearance in court for a previous traffic violation.

"Our unit did a warrant check and saw he had a ticket he didn't pay that went to warrant," said Lt. Dan Thompson of the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Division in a report with NY Daily News.

Singer Omarion was then arrested and held on $20,000 bail. Online jail records showed that he was released around 3:30PM Friday.

Omarion: "Pay them silly a** tickets!!"

News about how singer Omarion was arrested came as he and girlfriend Apryl Jones are expecting the birth of a baby boy within the next few days.

Soon after being released, Omarion, whose real name is Omari Grandberry, addressed the incident by posting this message in his Twitter account: "Moral of the story is as busy as life gets pay them silly ass tickets cause if u don't you will be treated like a criminal! I love y'all!"

New album with Rick Ross

Other than news about how singer Omarion was arrested, he is preparing for his album release, entitled "Sex Playlist." The album is a team-up between Omarion and Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group. There is still no exact release date for the said album, although Omarion initially shared his thoughts on the album in a Billboard report earlier this year.

"I'm in this really good place of self-discovery and self-knowledge," Omarion said. "I've had the bittersweet feeling of growing up in front of the public, so it's hard for them to allow me to grow up. But this album is a real maturation from my previous work."

Known for hits such as "Bump Bump Bump" and "Last Night", Omarion added, "This album is all me. We've been thinking about some features, and we're in the fourth quarter of changing up and maybe putting some of the family members on there, but this is so important to me".

Omarion explained, "Although it's been some time since I've put out an album, I always put my best foot forward in my music. When people hear this album, people will say, 'Omarion, we know you're on MMG, but you're doing your own thing as well.'"
