"The Good Wife" season 6 spoilers hinted a possible campaign by Alicia to become a state attorney, and "Rescue Me" cast Steven Pasquale might just be the man to help her do it.
According to "The Good Wife" season 6 spoilers reported by Deadline, Steven Pascuale is added to the cast for two episodes to play Elfman, who is described as one of the top campaign managers in the country.
He is hired by Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) in trying to persuade Alicia into challengingJames Castro (Michael Cerveris) for the state attorney seat.
"Does this mean Julianna Margulies' alter-ego will say 'yes' to Eli's plan for her to challenge Michael Cerveris' James Castro for his seat?" TVLine asked "Deadlinenotes Pasquale's gig is only slated to last for two episodes, so the prognosis remains cloudy."
Finn (Matthew Goode) and Diane (Christine Baranski) already dropped from the race so it would be a two-man scuffle from now on.
Earlier, E! News revealed "The Good Wife" season 6 spoilers when it reported that Taye Digg will appear for "multiple episodes" as Dean Levine-Wilkins, an equity partner at Lockhard/Gardner who was described as "meticulous" and "talented."
His character will join Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) at the firm run by Alicia (Juliana Marguiles) and Cary (Matt Czuchry).
In a statement by showrunners Robert and Michelle King, they said: "We couldn't be more excited to have Taye on the show. We've been huge fans for years, and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease."
Juliana Marguiles also told TVLine that she doesn't see the show ending soon. "[The creator of the series] always said he had seven years of this show in him, and my feeling is, I want to do it as long as the writer feels he has something to write... Alicia is basically in every scene."
