Frozen Ice Show Tour: Since the screening of Frozen, the Disney animated movie has become such a hit that it has become Disney's highest grossing film of all time. Not only that, the story of Queen Elsa and her sister Anna has become the top grossing full-length animated film in history. The movie won two Oscar awards for Best Animated Feature, and Best Original Song for "Let It Go." It also bagged Best Animated film awards from the Golden Globes, the BAFTA, and Critics' Choice Awards.
The film has become so successful that it has spawned numerous parodies, and its signature song "Let It Go" has been remade over and over again, with different gimmicks, and even different languages.
With fans still not getting over the Frozen fever, Disney is planning to release several product and show tie-ins with the movie. According to HuffPost Entertainment, Disney will be implementing a five year plan to promote and produce Frozen-related consumer items, as well as shows.
One of the most recent Frozen tie-ins released is the recording of "Do You Want To Build A Snowman?" which featured almost all the stars who are currently in a show on the Disney channel.
Furthermore, according to the report, there will be tons of Frozen products and paraphernalia in the works, along with sing-along storybooks. There will also be a Frozen stage show, an ice show.
Right now, the For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is screening at Disney's Hollywood Studios several time daily. Watch out for the Frozen: The Sing Along which will return at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood starting on August 22. The show will run for two weeks. Meanwhile, the Frozen On Ice show will debut on September 4.
The publicity that these will generate will of course work to promote the much-awaited Frozen 2, which does not have a set release date yet, but is reportedly in the works already.
