One Direction's "Where We Are" concert tickets have sold out, but the British boy band has announced that fans can still experience their current hit tour. The heartthrobs of 1D themselves appeared in a video uploaded to YouTube today to announce that a One Direction "Where We Are" movie version will be shown in cinemas worldwide exclusive for one weekend, which was reviewed as the group's "best tour yet".
In theaters only on October 11 and 12
According to their YouTube video, the concert film will be shown in theaters only on October 11 and 12, 2014.
Niall Horan opens in the announcement: "If you haven't had a chance to come see us at our 'Where We Are' stadium tour this year, or you simply just want to relive it again, we've got a very, very special announcement for you".
Zayn Malik follows: "The 'Where We Are' tour is coming to a cinema near you for one weekend only".
"You can see a concert plus an exclusive interview with us talking about what happens with us on tour on the big screen on the 11th and 12th of October. Check out our Facebook and our website for more details," Liam Payne says.
Also in the video were other members Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
According to a report from Popcandy and information from the movie's official website www.1dconcertfilm.com, the film will show a recording of the band's concert held at San Siro stadium in Milan.
The One Direction "Where We Are" concert movie will not be in 3-D like their previous film "This Is Us". However, it will contain 75 minutes of high definition concert footage plus 15 minutes of recorded interviews with the band.
After the limited 1-weekend run of the concert movie is shown in theaters worldwide, the One Direction "Where We Are" film will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on December 1.
1D's "best tour yet"
One Direction's "Where We Are" recently wrapped the tour's European leg, following stints in UK and Ireland, said a report from Metro UK. The group is scheduled to continue the tour in USA and Canada on August.
The Metro UK feature also reviewed 10 reasons why One Direction's "Where We Are" is considered as the group's best tour yet. 1D's previous tours were "Up All Night" and "Take Me Home".
According to the said report, One Direction's "Where We Are" is the "best tour yet" because they sold out some of the world's biggest stadiums, their stage is mega impressive, they broke a record plus the fact that they were supported by McBusted and they made innovations by introducing Instagram questions for the very first time.
To add, the boy band also did the macarena, sang Mamma Mia and got wet 'n' wild in Turin. This is apart from Harry Styles wearing a candy thong and doing a strip tease.
