iPad Air 2 vs. iPad Mini 3: Latest tech buzzes suggests that Apple is set to release 3 iPads for October including a new 12.9 inches tablet called as the iPad Pro. According to Christian Today, Taiwanese media source Economic Daily News reported that iPad Air 2 will come with a 9.7 inch display, while the iPad Mini 3 will feature a 7.9 inches screen panel and the iPad Pro will have the biggest screen display of 12.9 inches.

Reportedly, the iPad Pro like iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, also comes with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and capacitive touchscreen. This is said to be Apple's take on tablet and laptop hybrid that will have two variants in terms of resolution, a 2K and a 4K variants.

Meanwhile, according to Gotta Be Mobile, rumors for iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 includes camera upgrades up to 8MP and processor upgrades to the new A8 chip with 64-bit processing power. Both are rumored to get Apple's iOS 8 software. Load the Game noted that iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 will receive upgraded front cameras with 1.5MP sensor.

Breathe Cast noted that the latest images of iPad Air 2 show that the new device bears similarity from the current iPad Air less some minor changes. According to Gotta Be Mobile, a leaked photo shows a slight difference in thickness. The description is that the new iPad Air is about a millimeter thinner. Volume buttons on the right side of the iPad Air 2 mockup are longer, thinner and settled into the device. The switch on the iPad which locks orientation or mutes the iPad is nowhere to be found in the mock up and it could be that Apple removes this switch and forces users to rely on Control Center inside iOS.

The iPad Mini 3 according to Ming-Chi Kuo, the man who accurately predicted many of the iPhone 5s' features ahead of time, will retain the same design as its predecessor.

These tablets are presumably lined up for the company's fall release.
