One Direction new movie 2014 is officially set for October!
1D fans should save the date on October 11 and 12, 2014: "Where We Are" is the One Direction new movie 2014 they've been waiting for.
The One Direction new movie 2014 offers full-length footage of the band's San Siro stadium performance, their follow-up to last year's "This Is Us."
The five-piece boy band confirmed in a video message their new concert movie "Where We Are" will have a very limited run in the cinemas, on October 11 and 12, followed by the home video (DVD) release.
The band's recent performance at Milan's San Siro stadium sold out, and the theatrical release of the footage is meant for fans who were unable to snag a slot to the concert.
Acclaimed documentary director Morgan Spurlock supervised production for the "This Is Us," and is yet to be confirmed to handle the same for the new concert movie. Production for "Where We Are" is covered by the same company, Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment.
Spurlock has confirmed earlier that his production team kept on the heels of the boyband during their recent tour, with a One Direction new movie 2014 in mind. "This Is Us" was released August 2013 and raked in £40m at the international box office (theguardian.com).
Spurlock confirmed the green light for the sequel's production in an interview with The Mirror, trading documentaries like "Super-Size Me" for an autobiographical account of the boy band's international success.
"Yes, there will be a follow-up to This Is Us. At this moment Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens. He worked with me and is a great producer."
Spurlock also revives hope for an Oscar nomination, something he and Simon Cowell was disappointed with in the past Academy Awards season. The One Direction new movie 2014 is their second chance.
"I know Simon Cowell wants the band to get awards for this and was upset when they missed out on being nominated in the music category for an Oscar on our film. It was a good song and I was surprised that they weren't even considered. This time he will want them to try again."
