This is cute! Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in Marvel's "The Avengers," recently lost his wallet in Chicago, but in a surprising turn of events, it was returned to him after the man who found it tweeted the actor. The two men exchanged information via the social media site Twitter last Sunday, July 20.
"I have your wallet. Found it in a cab in Chicago on Friday," user @Trezeduet tweeted at the Hulk star. "Let me know the best way to get it back to you. Thanks."
"Thank you! Wow!" the actor, 46, replied. "Another point for the decency in people...you are a hero!" He then proceeded to ask if they could exchange information through a DM (direct message).
TMZ tracked down the kind stranger, Ross McHale, and surprisingly, he said that he had no idea who the actor was when he looked at his ID. Even funnier, McHale had to go on a Google search to find out how to get the wallet back to him. But since only the actor's screen credits, which include "The Kids Are All Right," "You Can Count On Me" and the Emmy-nominated HBO film "The Normal Heart" came up, McHale had to tweet the actor to get in touch with him.
Ruffalo hadn't offered a reward for the misplaced wallet, but McHale doesn't mind.
"If [Mark] ever finds my wallet, I expect him to return the favor," he told TMZ.
uffalo was in Chicago at the time to serve as grand marshal at an auto race at Chicagoland Speedway. He currently stars in Begin Again, where he plays a divorced, middle-aged record executive.
