Michael Schumacher update features "Schumi's" likely release from the rehabilitation clinic for home care. Medical experts, however, believe that doing so is not a wise decision to make.

In a report by Allan Hall of The Daily Mail, the Formula One legend may be released from the rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland, adding that a "revolutionary microchip" may be implanted in his brain.

"The news comes at the same time as reports in Croatian media claiming neurosurgeons who have developed a revolutionary microchip implanting technique have been approached to see if they can help," the report states.

The Michael Schumacher update was also confirmed by Swiss news outlet SonntagsBlick.

"There are signs that Michael will leave the clinic soon and be cared for at home," it said.

Michael Schumacher has been undergoing rehabilitation after figuring in a skiing accident in the French Alps in December 2013. He was with his 14-year old son when he hit his head on a boulder. The accident led him to be placed in a medically induced coma for six months, before eventually waking up in June.

Medical experts have been vocal about the bleak possibilities of Michael Schumacher's recovery. Many of them believe that he will be an invalid for life if he does survive from the coma.

But Hall's report about the Michael Schumacher update also confirms that the mentioned microchip may help him walk and talk again.

"According to the Croatian media meanwhile, Croatian doctors Darko Chudy and Vedran Deletis, who have developed a revolutionary microchip implanting technique, have been approached to see if they can help," the report adds.

In another report by The Telegraph, Michael Schumacher could be move back to his home as early as the end of the month. But according to neurosurgeon Dr. Charlie Teo, doing so may not be a good idea.

"If someone had been in a coma for six months, the functional recovery from that can't be good," Dr. Teo said in an interview with NBC.
