Upcoming Marvel movies of 2014 will be announced at this Saturday's Comic Con, July 26, 2014.

It's no secret Marvel is expanding its universe beyond the inked (and digital) pages; the upcoming Marvel movies in 2014 is only the first of a wave of feature films, with release dates that extend to 2019.

Fans hope Marvel reveals more details at this Saturday's San Diego Comic Con, though. Several Marvel actors are confirmed and even casted, and at least five more Marvel movies are kept under wraps aside from their announced release dates.

Marvel Studios may just produce a sequel for "Guardians of the Galaxy," if the positive response to previews translates to box office earnings. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Ant-Man" are confirmed for a 2015 release, and after that it's five more Marvel movies planned, as yet shrouded in mystery.

Speaking of mystery, a "Doctor Strange" movie is practically confirmed, with a rumored July 8, 2016 release. The project already has a writer and director (Scott Derrickson), with role casting to follow. The Marvel Studios panel at Comic Con 2014 faces plenty of speculation to confirm on Saturday.

Surprise releases are still on the table, and fans could see a couple more upcoming Marvel movies in 2014. Marvel has officially announced release dates for future feature films: July 28 and November 3, 2017; July 6 and November 2, 2018; and May 3, 2019.

Note the absence of 2016 launches from the lineup; it's likely the "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Ant-Man," "Thor 3," "Captain America 3," and "Doctor Strange" line up as confirmed Marvel movies in 2015 and 2016, not to mention the "Fantastic Four" reboot; these are exciting times for Marvel fans indeed.

The Marvel movies list to 2019 is impressive, considering the studio's track record in releasing feature films that eventually became franchises. The possibilities are as limited as the Marvel Universe itself, and with rumors of Black Panther, The Inhumans, and even The Hulk percolating, a fan boy's dream of sizeable Marvel movies collection can only stack.
