Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are rumoured to be in "marriage probation" in attempt to make their relationship work. The former power couple who announced that they were "consciously uncoupling" last March is currently being spotted growing closer again and reportedly going to give their marriage another try.

"It's going really well. Things are better between them than they have been in years, and the channels of communication are well and truly open. They've still got a long way to go, but they've decided they've got too much to lose not to give it another shot," a source told Grazia magazine.

According to The Sun Daily, the couple have hired "heart healer" Blaire Allison who also describes herself as a "spiritual teacher, marriage and family therapist, love expert, visionary, awakened warrior and enlightened master" in order to help them repair their marriage.

"It seems Gwyneth and Chris called in Blaire during their recent family retreat [to The Hamptons]. She's known for devising a tailor-made intensive heart-healing programme to help overcome stumbling blocks and repair old wounds. It includes techniques including intuitive heart-healing sessions, spiritual healing, prayer and meditation," the source said.

Back in June, People Magazine reported that the couple appears to consider getting back together. Reportedly, a friend of the couple is agreeing with the possibility.

"They haven't made any concrete decision to get back together yet, but clearly it's a possibility. At this point, some of the pressure was just taken off them - pressure they put on themselves to "make it work," says a friend of the couple.

The couple made it clear when they announced they were splitting that they were doing so in good terms.

"We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been," Martin and Paltrow said in their joint statement on Goop.

Paltrow and Martin married in December 2003, and have two children - Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.
