A new photo of Ben Affleck "Batman" was just released and you could see a brooding and dark version of the Batman we all know and love. Even though all you see is pretty much all chin in this new photo, you can still see the furrowed brow and pronounced jaw underneath the cowl and the mask.
DC Comics debuted the photo in honor of the film and the 75th anniversary of Batman. Yesterday was officially marked Batman Day and to be celebrated all weekend at Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego, California. There is also a full-body shot of Ben as Batman but this one sets the tone.
Dawn of Justice will also feature Henry Cavill reprising his role of Superman and Amy Adams is back as Lois Lane, as well as Jeremy Irons as Batman's main man Alfred, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Gal Gadot as Wonderwoman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
Ben Affleck's new Batman suit in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also went on display at San Diego's Comic-Con yesterday. The suit seems to have the head piece, which is made of stiff, leather-like material, attached directly to the cape. This attracted questions on mobility. Unlike Christian Bale's more flexible costume in the Dark Knight movies, this new one seems like it will severely limit the actor's range of motion.
One fan even commented, "His whole body will have to turn? Since he can't turn his head?" Another one agreed: "So he's back to not being able to move his head. Brilliant." More disappointed comments include, "Wow, it looks so much different than ALL the other Batsuits. #sarcasm #thisisnews?"
Nevertheless, I'm sure all our questions will be answered when it comes out. The film is due for release on May 6, 2016.
