Sherri Shepherd Latest News: The TV host is a celebrating after winning from ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley's court filings. TMZ reported that the TV personality will not lose custody of her 9-year-old son after an L.A. County Court hearing.

"God is good. VICTORY!!! The prayers of the righteous availeth much!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers! #tearfulmama," Shepherd tweeted Monday after her court hearing.

Later in the second quarter of this year, report says that Tarpley is seeking full custody of the couple's nine-year-old son Jeffrey Jr. according to court documents filed April in Los Angeles. Jeff Tarpley claims in court documents that due to Shepherd's busy schedule as a television host and touring stand-up comedienne, their son, Jeffrey, has been suffering from neglect, is falling behind in school, suffers poor hygiene, and is reading below grade level. Little Jeffrey, who has special needs, was left to the care of "unfit nannies" based on Tarpley's accusations. The father also says the boy wears Velcro shoes because the nine-year-old has not learned how to tie his own shoes.

According to Us Weekly, allegations that Shepherd was a bad mother, blaming her and her "unskilled nannies" for his son's inability to tie his own shoelaces or read has been dropped by the court. Reportedly, the judge refused Tarpley's bid for full custody of the former couple's child, declaring, "There has not been a material change in circumstances to grant the request."

Sherri Shepherd countered Tarpley's claims calling her ex-husband an absentee father and not capable of raising their son. The pair had been divorced since 2011.

However, the comedienne is still asking for support, prayers and understanding since she is also facing off another battle with her estranged husband Lamar Sally over the baby who is due later month via surrogate.
