Aretha Franklin was insulted by a Johnny Rockets staff after she tried to bought to-go hamburger but decided to eat inside the fast food's premises instead. The singer promises to have a healthy lifestyle, though, to avoid medical and health problems again.
A spokesman for the Queen of Soul revealed that the 72-year-old Aretha Franklin was insulted after she ordered a take-out hamburger at Johnny Rockets when a server from the fast food yelled at her. The employee told her she could not sit down to eat because she had ordered a takeout. The "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" singer made a statement saying the staff was "very rude, unprofessional and nasty," US News reported.
A spokeswoman for Johnny Rockets issued a statement apologizing for Aretha Franklin being insulted by a Johnny Rockets employee, claiming that the young employee was new, according to New York Post.
Eating hamburger every once in a while or during cheat days is okay, isn't it? Aretha Franklin is trying to live a healthy lifestyle to avoid being overweight again.
Detroit Free Press reported that the Queen of Soul is now watching her health and does a regular exercise regimen. The publication quoted Aretha as saying: "I have a walking regimen, walking the superstores - Walmart, Kmart, Meijer. I walk hotels, do the steps, everything. So my regimen is walking, water, watching my diet and portion control. I don't eat after 6 (p.m.). I got that tip from Natalie (Cole)."
The singer, who started her singing career at age 18 cancelled many live shows last year due to medical and health reasons. The "I Say A Little Prayer" is also known to be diabetic and previously overweight, Click on Detroit reported, but promises to keep her healthy figure now.
"The weight that I am at now, I said, 'I am going to own this weight. I will never, ever, be the size that I was again," said Franklin.
Aretha Franklin recently performed at the Detroit Energy Music Theater.
