Good news gaming fans! New updates for Tekken 7 have been revealed.

Concept art images of two Tekken characters Lars Alexanderson and Kazumi Mishima have bben leaked online courtesy of Facebook fan page Tekken Fighters.

In addition, Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada shared few details regarding the Devil Gene’s origin, which it didn’t start with Kazuya making a deal with devil nor that Jinpachi was the first one in their family to possess the evil power.

According to reports from Polygon, Tekken 7’s plot will have a "very detailed background story" and serve as the conclusion of the Mishima clan saga. It will also reveal the true reason why Heihachi wants to kill his son Kazuya, not to mention his grandson, Jin Kazama in the game series.

"We're still formulating the basic gameplay systems and polishing them," Harada said, explaining that he didn't have many details to share about Tekken 7's mechanics. He did say that Tekken 7 will feature one-on-one battles, not team-based battles as in the Tekken Tag series.

Tekken 7 will feature the character designs from seven guest artists, which include Mari Shimazaki (Bayonetta), Yusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem Awakening, No More Heroes), Ninnin (Duel Masters, Cardfight!! Vanguard) and Kenichiro Yoshimura (Max Anarchy/Anarchy Reigns).

Meanwhile, Polygon also reported that the second crossover game, Tekken X Street Fighter is still in the works. Harada responded to the fans regarding the game’s development and answered.

"It is proceeding. It hasn't been canceled, so please relax."

Game developers from Bandai Namco have been working on other games such as Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, Rise of The Incarnates, Tekken: Revolution, and Tekken 7.
