The Gotham TV series has had such a big, splashy debut at Comic-con even ahead of the panel at the famed Hall H this Saturday. Not only did they get the mayor of San Diego himself to ride the Gotham-themed zip line to open their program, they also released a Gotham-themed newspaper, and had Gotham style cop cars that could bring people around.
To amp up the excitement, the Gotham TV series trailer has also been unveiled. The trailer shows key scenes around which the show will revolved in: such as a young Bruce Wayne mourning the sudden death of his parents due to a random act of violence, the rise of the terrible crime wave and the emergence of Gotham's most terrifying villains, and a young Jim Gordon who vows to fight the darkness that is threatening to envelop his beloved city.
The series in fact, does not so much focus on Batman, but instead revolves around Jim Gordon and follows his story as he makes journey to becoming the city's commissioner. It will also tackle the origin story of the city's most infamous villains, and trace their roots before becoming the monstrous menaces that people have come to know them as.
And now Fox is calling all Batman fans, especially those who want to fly for free to New York city to attend the Gotham premiere party and launch. If you think you can a better version of the Gotham TV series trailer, and design a poster for the Batman prequel, here's your chance.
The poster design promo asks would-be contestants to create a poster using specific guidelines from Fox as graphics, fonts, and images. The trailer competition on the other hand will ask fans to reenact a scene from the brand new trailer for the show (watch below). More details can be found on fox.com/gothamcontest.
Meanwhile, expect the entire cast of Gotham's pilot episode premiere at the San Diego Comic-con 2014 this Saturday.
