Following the Broadway drunken debacle, a source from LaBeouf's camp has informed NY Daily News that the actor was voluntarily seeking treatment for alcohol addiction.
A separate report from E!Online said that a source has also clarified that "there were definitely no drugs involved" during the said incident. "Drinking and Shia do not mix well, but he definitely wasn't on any kind of drugs," the source said.
The NY Daily News report expounded that Assistant District Attorney Alyssa Russell said to Judge Ann Scherzer that "the Defense counsel are discussing a possible resolution in this case", and are asking for an adjournment until September "in hopes (that they) can come toward a disposition"
LaBeouf's lawyer, G. Robert Gage, Jr., did not answer reporters' questions after the hearing, as details of the eyed plea deal were not disclosed in court. The actor is next due in court on September 10.
