Jessica Biel is Zooey Deschanel's nemesis in "New Girl" season 4 premiere & cast. Fans of the series are already anticipating how the two girls-next-door will battle it out for attention on the small screen.

Jessica takes on the TV, with confirmation of her appearance in the pilot episode for "New Girl" season 4. Us Weekly confirms Fox's casting for Biel, although it's yet to be determined if she'll reprise her role in upcoming episodes in the season.

Jessica will play the role of Kat, "the hottest scientist in the world who ends up competing with Jess over a cute guy." Previous seasons featured the similar rivalries in the plot, usually resolved and lasted for only an episode.

Spoiler alert: the first episode of "New Girl" season 4 has Kat and Jess staking bets on who would get lucky first. The plot thickens when they realize they've both set their sights on the same guy. "New Girl" season 4 premiere & cast launches on September 16.

Jessica Biel is also busy with projects for the big screen. Justin Timberlake's significant other plays a lead role in an upcoming romantic comedy, "Nailed," alongside, Jake Gyllenhaal and James Marsden, out later this year.

Biel's successful Hollywood career started with her role as Mary Camden in TV's "7th Heaven," a mainstay for ten years before she moved on to film.

Her filmography credits include "The Illusionist," (2006), "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," (2007), and "Valentine's Day," (2010) (usmagazine.com).

Zooey Deschanel's credits vary from indie films to the music industry. She's involved in projects with the band Death Cab for Cutie, and starred alongside Jim Carrey in "Yes Man," Mark Wahlberg in "The Happening."
