Vampire Academy 2 movie is coming!

According to MoviePilot, the modern vampire movie will be having a sequel. But the source didn't mention the start date of the film shoot, the new casts or even the target release date of the Vampire Academy 2 movie.

Vampire Academy is actually a novel series of six young-adult paranormal romance (some compare its story to Twilight of Stephanie Meyer).

The next film installment is due to numbers of fan demanding for the Vampire Academy sequel, called Frostbite. Additionally, the official Facebook page has announced one the next sequel of the movie. It stated on the post:

"We are excited to announce that we have raised the majority of our funds for FROSTBITE - but there is one small catch (we told you this wouldn't be easy)...We need proof that the fans truly want to see the franchise continue. And so, we will be launching a crowd funding campaign and putting the power in your hands".

Meanwhile, Lucy Fry was recently interviewed by Sugarscape regarding the film. She played the role of Lisa Dragomir. Going back to the interviewed, here's the flow of the interview of Sugarscape with Vampire Academy Actress.

Interviewer: What is different about Vampire Academy to all those other bloodsucking movies we've seen before?

Lucy: It's fun and you'll have fun! It's a great mixture of humour and action and tension and romance, all tied together in a really punch storyline. It's the kind of movie you go and see when you just want to enjoy yourself.

Interviewer: It's a proper bad ass, girl power movie because although you've got the romance in there, it's more about friendship, right?

Lucy: Definitely. I think that's why I loved the script so much, because when you're a teenager, your friendships are everything to you. I guess romance is exciting, but your friends always come first and that's what this film really honours.

Interviewer: The fact that Mark Waters (who did Mean Girls) was in the directing chair must have been pretty exciting when you were signing up?
Lucy: I was really thrilled to get to work with Mark. He was everything that I thought he would be. He is so great, there's so much attention to detail and he just knows how to make it fun.

Yeah and it totally nails the humour of the book despite having quite a dark storyline.

Exactly. I think that's why Mark was the perfect person to bring the humour out in the really intense scenes.

Interviewer: Did you read the books before filming?

Lucy: I hadn't read them before I got the part, but as soon as I got the part I read them and really loved them. I tried to limit myself, but by the time I finished the first one, I just had to go onto the second one.
