The Bachelorette finale on ABC Monday night was an emotional two-hour episode. After all the wooing, romance, and some tears Andi Dorfman chose Josh Murray, and accepted his marriage proposal.
Runner-up suitor Nick Viall was shocked at the turn out of events. Viall confessed that he did not see this coming, and was certain that he would be the 27-year-old bachelorette's final choice. "Man, I really thought this was it," Viall shared, as he was driven off from the rejection of Dorfman. "I really thought she loved me." Viall is a software sales executive from Chicago.
This was followed by the happy announcement to Josh Murray during the final rose ceremony. The former professional baseball player gave an emotional speech as his marriage proposal.
"Andi you are the answer to all of my prayers you are the answer to my dreams you are the woman I thought never existed in this world. All my worries they just seem to vanish when I'm with you," Murray said.
Andi, a former district attorney responded to Murray by saying that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
The Bachelorette finale is the 10th season of the popular show. The season started with 25 young men all in competition to win Dorfman's hand. Week by week, the suitors thinned out as Andi eliminated one eligible bachelor after another.
Before the final choice was revealed, The Bachelorette finale started off with Andi separately introducing the two men to her parents. Nick seemed nervous with the meeting, but the young man managed to win the parents over after a while.
Josh, on the other hand somewhat rubbed the parents off the wrong way by being "too similar" to Andi's ex-boyfriends. But the parents and even Andi's sister Rachel soon warmed up to him too.
In the end Josh won out, leaving Nick hurt and confused. Reportedly, Nick has tried to contact Andi several times even after The Bachelorette Finale.
Dorfman was previously on The Bachelor in season 18 as one of the women trying to win the heart of Juan Pablo Galavis.
Dorfman, 27, was named the star of "The Bachelorette" after first appearing as one of many women who competed to win the heart of Juan Pablo Galavis on season 18 of "The Bachelor."
