The Kingdom Hearts franchise gained tremendous popularity by capturing the hearts of not only fans of Square Enix, who is popular for creating the world-wide hit Final Fantasy series, but also the hearts of fans of Disney, which films became a part of everybody's childhood. Put together in one game and fans have their dream game.
The Maleficent movie is gaining a lot of hype from fans all over the world and fans are wondering if Angelina Jolie’s version of Maleficent will appear in Kingdom Hearts 3. When a fan asked the creative director of Kingdom Hearts 3 if Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent would appear on the game, he simply responded by saying “I’m not saying anything but you’re in for a surprise” which greatly hints that Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent would appear on the game.
Of course Jolie’s Maleficent isn’t the only thing to appear in the Kingdom Heart 3 newswire.
Gaming news site Cyberland has reported that the Kingdom Hearts 3 new worlds would The Incredibles, Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph and Toy Story.
The new worlds would probably give a new element in the gameplay and themes that gamers who are veterans in the franchise would appreciate, the Wreck-It Ralph world could be a world where there isn't much fighting involved but there would be contests of racing instead. The Incredibles world would show what Sora is becoming, a hero and Toy Story would show the theme of friendship and growing-up that Sora would be experiencing as he matures and of course, Frozen would show the bond that brothers, sisters and friends would show.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is probably one of the most anticipated games this generation and the hype for the game keeps getting bigger as the Kingdom Hearts 3 Marvel and Star Wars involvement rumors keep popping out left and right.
Of course, Disney added some "new worlds" in their franchise by buying Marvel and the Star Wars franchise and the makers of Kingdom Hearts 3 expressed that they would love to add those worlds into the game.
While speaking with Finaland during the Japan Expo in Paris, Nomura admitted that he'd like to see content from both the Star Wars and Marvel franchises in the Kingdom Hearts universe at some point. However, it's a tougher process than you might expect.
According to Nomura, Disney has several restrictions when it comes to its franchises. He believes "it would be great if we could add those licenses as well," though "there are lots of rules and restrictions by Disney so we can't actually put in everything people want. So it's quite a difficult decision, but we're going to prepare some surprises for you so, just wait for the information."
This surprise is the widely rumored cameo of Iron Man. Just like in the Marvel movies, just after the final credits of the game rolls up, a scene involving Iron Man recruiting Sora to defeat Darth Vader will be included.
Of course these are just rumors but with the game devs themselves admitting that Marvel and Star Wars characters being in the game is something that they want to do as well makes it possible that it will actually happen.
But what do you think? Will this crossover happen? Sound off in the comments below!
