A new photo of Gwen Stefani breastfeeding on Instagram was posted Friday. The singer even made a statement, with proceeds of an item from the photo donated to RED, an AIDS charity.
Gwen Stefani's Instagram post on Friday showed her cuddling her five-month old baby Apollo Bowie Flynn in her arms, apparently breastfeeding the child. The singer sat on the foreground of a mountain landscape in Switzerland.
Gwen's baby was wrapped in white and red swaddling blanket from aden + anais. The company has coordinated with RED, also offering a portion of the sales of the item in the Instagram post to the cause against AIDS, according to a People Magazine report.
Breastfeeding in public is met with polarizing opinions, with plenty of advocates from the celebrity camp. Just this June, Natalia Vodianova and Jaime King posted photos of their own. While many admit breastfeeding is as intimate as it gets, the same people insist it's also far from taboo.
