As you can see on MTV's new LP music video, you might assumed that this is trailer of a movie or a post-apocalyptic summer blockbuster.
The video shows crying babies in the middle of the street, menacing white wolves, armies of mysterious hooded figures, white (and black) winged angels, cities covered in dust and smoke and graffiti that reads "the end is near" and "beware of shape shifters."
The music video becomes more dramatic because of Chester Bennington's vocals, which blended on a dramatic picture of fading hope for what could have been on the latest single from the band's The Hunting Party album.
The lyrics of their new single goes like this:
"The light on the horizon was brighter yesterday,"
"With shadow floating over, the scars begin to fade/ We said it was forever, but then it slipped away/ Standing at the end of the final masquerade."
The five-minute video was directed by Mark Pellington, a man behind iconic videos Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" and U2′s "One,", Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper" and Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up."
