Anderson Silva comeback update reveals the official announcement of the billed superfight between "The Spider" and who is considered as one of mixed martial arts' bad boys, Nick Diaz. It has also been reported that Nick Diaz will be getting an immediate title shot if he wins the said fight.

UFC.com reports that Anderson Silva's comeback fight will take place on January 31st at UFC 183, which will be the company's traditional Super Bowl weekend fight card.

The announcement has been made official by UFC President Dana White himself, as he spoke in an interview with ESPN.com

"The greatest of all time, Anderson Silva, is back," White declared. "Also back is Nick Diaz. So we have made Anderson Silva-Nick Diaz on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas. It will be the main event, and it will be five rounds."

The Nick Diaz fight slated for Anderson Silva's comeback in the UFC has been talked about since June, after both camps began entertaining the idea. It was not until last week, when Nick Diaz signed a new three-fight deal with the company that the match-up can possibly come into fruition.

Both fighters will have at least more than a year of absence from competition when they face each other. Nick Diaz has been on a hiatus following a unanimous decision loss to Georges St-Pierre in March 2013 at UFC 158.

Anderson Silva, on the other hand, has not fought since December 2013 at UFC 168, since suffering a broken leg in the hands of current champion Chris Weidman.

But for Dana White, "The Spider" is already primed for a comeback.

"Anderson Silva feels great," White continued. "He's facing a 13-month layoff -- a lot of fighters are off 13 months before they fight next. He is 100 percent healthy, kicking again and chomping at the bit to get back in the Octagon."

Regarding Nick Diaz, on the other hand, Dana White also has something special planned for the former number one welterweight contender.

"Nick Diaz is a very popular fighter as it is," he said. "If he comes back and beats Anderson Silva, he could fight for the title. He's right there."
