Comic-con 2014 was as expected full of surprises and reveals this year. But perhaps the biggest bombshell that was dropped happened during Paramount Pictures' session at the convention's famed Hall H.

Director Christopher Nolan and actor Matthew McConaughey gave audiences the surprise of their lives when they unexpectedly made an appearance to talk about their upcoming film Interstellar. The director-actor tandem were also on hand to debut the much-anticipated and much-talked about new Interstellar movie trailer.

It will be recalled that the first Interstellar movie trailer revealed the bare bones plot of the upcoming science fiction movie. What we know from the first trailer is that Matthew McConaughey plays a father who is called upon by the government on some top-secret, dangerous mission that will take him to the far-reaches of outer because mankind was mean to leave the world, as Michael Caine's character says. The movie's tagline is, "Mankind was born on earth. But we were never meant to die here."

The new Interstellar Movie trailer features some more exciting footage from the ambitious sci-fi movie that revolves around time travel and wormholes. According to slashfilm.com the Interstellar movie trailer that debuted in Comic-con featured McConaughey's character Cooper, saying: "We used to look up at the sky and wonder about our place in the stars. Now, we just look down and wonder about our place in the dirt." Then it moves on to images of outer space, whose "visual scale is thrillingly huge, even majestic."

The good news for the rest of us who weren't able to be there during the trailer's unveiling at Comic-con, is that we will be able to watch it too, real soon.

According to Warner Bros and Paramount, the new trailer will be out this weekend. Interstellar's new trailer will be showing in theaters starting this Friday's release of Guardians Of The Galaxy.

So head on out to the cinemas, catch the trailer of Interstellar, and enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy while you're at it.
