One of the most-anticipated films in 2015 is the "Entourage" movie, but they will be going head to head with "Jurassic World". We all know how big their competition is, but the film adaptation of the popular HBO comedy series may have a good chance of doing well in the box office. Not only do they have a star-studded cast and cameos, but they have also gained their own cult followers.
"Entourage" premiered on television in 2004 and ended in 2011. Some fans who have watched their show regularly felt like they've been hanging out with Ari Gold and the guys for seven years. After three years, the feeling of excitement returned to many fans after the producers announced that the HBO series was made into a movie.
We will be seeing the original cast together again, but one actor that wasn't excited about portraying his role again is Jeremy Piven. During an interview with HuffPost Live, the 49-year old actor revealed how he really felt about Ari Gold.
Piven told Marc Lamont Hill, "I've had people come up to me and literally say 'I am an a**hole because of you." He added, "And it makes me feel terrible. It makes me feel like I want to retire." Let's hope he won't do that because Mark Wahlberg is reportedly planning another sequel even if the movie hasn't shown in theaters yet.
The star of "Transformers: Age of Extinction" told Access Hollywood, "I told Doug [Ellin], 'Let's not wait for the movie to come out to start planning the next one because this is definitely going to be a big success.'" Wahlberg added, "If I have anything to do with it there will be."
If there will be an "Entourage" movie sequel, then Jeremy Piven should learn to accept his character no matter how neurotic he can be. The actor told HuffPost Live, "Ari Gold is the most reactive character that you can play." He added, "If I'm glorifying that behavior, that's not a good thing."
Ari Gold is one of the most powerful agents in Hollywood and the character was partly based on the life of Ari Emanuel, who is a well-known talent agent. Jeremy Piven shared to the website, "I have heard people have actually fired their agents and I really try to tell them that it's a fictional character."
He explained, "What that is, is a combination of Doug Ellin's fantasy as to what an agent is, and an homage to Ari Emanuel and then me taking it and trying to flesh it out with as much humanity as possibly."
Do you think it is a good idea to do another sequel for the "Entourage" movie?
