If Your Life Was Like A K-Drama

There are many reasons to wish that your life was a k-drama. For a start, everyone around you would be insanely good looking. Imagine Ji Sung or Lee Soo Hyuk as your boss in the office. Or Choi Jin Hyuk as your "neighbor oppa," which is what Jang Nara calls him in "Fated To Love You."

Or you might attend a high school with Park Shin Hye and Kim Woo Bin.

Not only would everyone around be good looking but you would be destined to meet the perfect person. You might not recognize each other as soul mates in the beginning but after a few episodes, the chemistry would be magical. And to make things truly interesting there won't be just one person in love with you. There will be the second lead, the person who rescues you without a word or stands in the rain waiting for you.

At least one of the candidates would be rich so you wouldn't have to worry about living comfortably and they would both love you no matter how odd you acted or bizarrely you dressed. Or how poor you were.

Your girlfriend or boyfriend would sit with you when you were sick rather than saying, call me when you feel better. They might even wait 15 years for you as Park Yoochun did for Yoon Eun Hye in "Missing You."

The other good thing about being the lead in a k-drama is that your hard work, upright character and determination will pay off. You will be recognized for all the hours you put in and your truly good ideas.

Also, you could eat a lot and stay very thin. Think about how much food k-drama characters eat and how slender the actors are.

Your life would have the best soundtrack. Okay, if you heard "Almost Paradise" playing every time you left the house to go to work, it might be annoying but Lyn's moody "My Destiny" playing would be great.

You could also sleep through school, never study and still pass exams as Seo In Guk does in "High School King of Manners."

On the other hand, if you did fall in love, your in-laws might despise you for your humble beginnings or lack of family connections. Nothing would ever get resolved right away but misunderstandings could take a dozen episodes to clear up. Gangsters might be after you to collect your father's debts. And you would probably be an orphan. You might be unjustly accused of a crime you did not commit and have to go to jail.

Also, every time you bumped your head even slightly, you could get amnesia.

Well, what are a few misunderstandings and a slight case of amnesia? A k-drama life still has a lot going for it. What do you think? If you could live in a k-drama, which would it be?
