Until now, Apple has yet to confirm both the iPad Air 2's and iPhone 6's specs and release date. The lack of an official statement from the innovation giant pushes Apple fans to share rumors they read online.
New rumors suggest that the new iPhone will get an October 14 release date.
As shared by MacRumors, "Apple may be planning to launch the iPhone 6 on Tuesday, October 14 as the month itself will be an incredibly busy one for the company, according to a source that spoke to MacRumors citing an internal Apple Retail Store meeting."
"The source notes that a senior Store Leader mentioned October 14th as being an "immense" day for Apple, adding that the whole month of October would be very busy for stores and the company itself."
In another interview with Seeking Alpha, analyst Matt Margolis dished on the sapphire cover glass.
"As a result of my most recent supply chain check I believe that the Mesa sapphire operations will have ample supply to cover the iWatch, the 4.7″ iPhone and the 5.5″ iPhone with full sapphire cover glass in 2014. Additionally, the maximum sapphire screen capacity of the Mesa facility is likely to exceed 200m annual units," said Margolis.
The demand for the next-generation phone appears to be high. It said that the 5.5 or 5.7-inch model could cost $100 more than the other one, according to a report on Fool.com
Rumors have spread the new iPad will also be released by October. In the previous years, iPads have been launched during the same month.
According to Christian Today:
"The report said that the mass production of the display parts of the new iPad Air tablet has started sporting the same form factor as its predecessor. The iPad Air 2 will come with the same 9.7-inch screen display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, 264 ppi. It will also have the same lightness as the current iPad Air."
Aside from having major improvements on its speed and performance, the iPad Air 2 will have Apple's fingerprint scanner technology called TouchID which first debuted on the iPhone 5S.
MobileFun has recently leaked photos of the iPad Air 2 cases which shows the TouchID sensor.
The new iPad is rumored to be waterproof. While there is no confirmation on that speculation yet, Apple users will surely just have to stay up to date on the latest announcements from Apple.
