Messi- Suarez- Neymar Line Up Highly Doubted By Ex- Italy Captain, 'Real Madrid Will Surely Win La Liga'

Fabio Cannavaro, former Real Madrid player, and 2006 World Cup winner says that he sees Real to win the La Liga next season, and questions the practicality of the jam- packed Barcelona by Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Luis Suarez.

Messi won the Golden Ball this year, Neymar is undoubtedly the Brazilian star, and Suarez made almost all the goals for Uruguay last World Cup. But Cannavaro is not sure about the three.

Cannavaro, who won the World Cup in 2006 as Italy's captain, has said that he is not a fan of the trio, and that it would turn into a disaster in the field.

"This is modern football we are talking about - who is going to cover them in midfield?" he said to Goal.com.

"Real Madrid have to be considered favourites to win La Liga," he added.

He also won two La Liga championships during his stay in Real Madrid in 2006 and 2009.

When asked about Italy's poor performance in the recently concluded World Cup, he said:

"Every nation has some good times and some bad times, and Italy is going through a negative period simply because its clubs have not invested in Italian players.

"Teams have preferred to do business with young foreigners. Among the four semi-finalists at the World Cup, there were 16 starters who play or have played in Italy when they were young.

"As for [Mario] Balotelli, I don't want to judge him because I do not know him. He is from a very different generation to my own. His talent is not in doubt, but in all professions, talent is not always enough."

Balotelli is known to be Italy's best striker.

Talking about Juventus' foreseen performance for this season, he said: "The new signings are excellent but they are not enough.

"Pirlo is one year older and Antonio Conte has left."

He also voiced out his opinions on the Messi vs, Maradone debate.

"Both are great players, but Maradona was a true captain."
