"Guardians of the Galaxy" has just been released in some countries today. And so far, it looks like the movie has captured its audience with its wit and action packed sequences.

The new Marvel movie stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Here is the official description of the movie as published on Marvel.com:
"An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy," in theaters August 1, expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe."
"To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits--Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. Mark Hughes a contributor at Forbes.com gave his honest opinion about the movie.
"It's been called the boldest and riskiest move yet by Marvel Studios, with some pundits eagerly anticipating theatrical failure while others just as eagerly expect it could "rescue" the summer box office."
"Call it whatever you want - but critics are calling Guardians of the Galaxy possibly the best Marvel movie yet, audiences are calling it the film they are most eager to see, and come this weekend we'll all be calling it another successful step in Marvel's quest to rule the box office."
And in true Marvel fashion, this movie also has a post credit clip showing yet another Marvel comic character. While some fans have come up with the assumption that the clip will be revealing the link between "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Avengers 2," they were in for a surprise when the scene showed a different and unfamiliar character.
The scene shows the Collector (played by Benicio del Toro) post Infinity Stone blow-up, sipping his drink. A dog in an astronaut suit approaches him and licks his face, then the camera pans to this unsightly looking duck. It was Howard the Duck.
According to Business Insider:
"Howard was a Marvel comic character first introduced in 1973. Shortly after his creation in '73, Disney threatened Marvel with legal action claiming Howard the Duck's satirical design bore a striking resemblance to Donald Duck."
"According to an archived Silver Bullet Comics interview - now known as Comics Bulletin - with Howard the Duck co-creator Stever Gerber, Marvel came to a bizarre deal with Disney that virtually allowed the Mouse House to redesign the character."
