"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" Director Tim Burton is still in talks with Eva Green to join the cast of the film adaptation of Ransom Riggs' novel "Miss Peregrine's Home of Peculiar Children". If Green would accept it, she will play as the headmistress of the orphanage and will be reunited with Burton after their project, "Dark Shadows", last 2012.

The film, which is expected to have a shortened title "Peregrine's Home of Peculiars", was originally set in July 2015. As Century Fox moved up "The Martians" to November 2015, it has given way for Burton's "Miss Peregrine's Home of Peculiar Children" movie adaptation to be released in March 2016.

The change in the release date will give Burton more time to work more on the distinctively Gothic feel of the story based on the book. Apart from that, he could concentrate first in his current project with Amy Adams, "Big Eyes".

Burton will also have ample time to talk to Green to join him in the movie, which will be penned by "X-Men: First Class" writer Jane Goldman based on the novel of Riggs. As the film has expected to have more young children to cast, viewers may see new faces or unfamiliar actors and actresses to join the production.

"Miss Peregrine's Home of Peculiar Children" is the story of 16-year-old boy named Jacob Portman who travels to Wales to know the truth behind his grandfather's death. He lands on the ruins of Miss Peregrine's place (or orphanage) and discovers people are still living in the remains. He also finds out that the children in the orphanage are not just ordinary ones because they possess special powers.

Green is currently star in the Showtime's TV series "Penny Dreadful" and will be seen in her upcoming movies "White Bird in a Blizzard" and "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For".
