The "Fantastic Four" movie reboot scheduled for release in 2015 was described by screenwriter Simon Kinberg as grounded and not based on the comic book story. The movie, which stars Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffud and Michael Chiklis first made waves in 2005.

According to Indie Wire, Kinberg, who is both writer/producer, commented that the "Fantastic Four" movie reboot storyline is more like "Batman Begins." People who have watched the 2005 version would attest to the fact that the plot was nowhere near that of the aforementioned movie. It was closer to that of the comics, which Indie Wire described as hilarious, vast and silly.

Given what Kinberg has just divulged, Indie Wire assumed that the upcoming "Fantastic Four' movie reboot with Josh Trank as director will undergo a major transformation.

Kinberg, as reported by iO9, explained why the movie was absent during the Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego. For one, he said that they were in the process of shooting the film. According to him, they were aspects about the movie that they did differently when compared to the 2005 version and the comic book.

The screenwriter added that they did not think it best to rush things for Comic-Con if they want to get an excellent outcome.

Kinberg added that he thinks "Fantastic Four" movie reboot commemorates all of the comic book versions that came before it. He said that the reinvention has included aspects found in the original version, providing the film an optimistic and inspirational quality. He noted the specific hilarity identified with "Fantastic Four."

Kinberg also said that the concept of an unconventional surrogate family that unites to achieve a common goal is present in the reboot - and this, he said is an aspect they have acquired from the originals. Another aspect that remains is the idea of the characters being scientists on an adventure rather than superheroes. This, he stressed out, also comprises a big portion of the film, reported iO9.
