Latest "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors revealed that production for the new Disney movie has been shut down due to the Harrison Ford Injury, as the delay is reportedly costing the studio millions.
According to a report by British tabloid MailOnline, which reported of the latest "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors, a crew at Pinewood Studios claimed that they were informed the delay would be about three weeks.
"It's obviously costing the studio millions of dollars," the source claimed. "We've shot as many scenes as we can without him but he's pivotal to the movie and the studio has decided to wait for him to be fit enough to return."
"We can't do any more until he's back on set," the insider told the tabloid.
Although the report of production being delayed this month is not new as a statement by Disney last month, according to Associated Press, "Star Wars Episode VII" will be stopped for two weeks in August due to the Harrison Ford injury.
The latest "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors, however, are different in the sense that this time, it's three weeks instead of two.
However, the studio assured that the film is still on pace to be released for its target December 2015 release despite Harrison Ford's injury.
Harrison Ford's injury was sustained while filming for "Star Wars Episode 7" in June.
Right after the injury, Disney releaed a statement which read: "Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care."
It added, "Shooting will continue while he recuperates."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford was injured by the door of the Millenium Falcon, the iconic spacecraft that his character, Han Solo, and sidekick Chewbacca, used.
