When Disney released "Frozen" in 2013, nobody expected it to be a huge success with thousands of fans clamouring for a sequel. The web is now full of "Frozen 2" cast, plot and release date rumors.
The Christian Post reported, "Disney's movie "Frozen" has taken the world by storm with its unique story and interesting twists. Its huge success left fans eager for another helping of the animation. But Disney has yet to confirm if a second movie is in the making. In fact, the company has been silent about the whole issue, and has only released non-definitive answers to the wild rumors."
Cinema Blend gave it's honest opinion about the sequel, saying:
"Frozen 2 seems inevitable. It's just not official. We reached out to Disney, who had no official comment on the state of Frozen 2. But the writing's clearly on the wall. In a conversation with Pop Sugar, Buck and Lee - around the time of the Academy Awards - addressed the idea of Frozen 2 directly, saying, 'I think the characters are very rich, [and] I think there are other stories left to tell.'"
A Forbes report noted, "Disney foregoing another round in Arendelle is basically tantamount to passing up free money in the hundreds-of-millions. That they haven't out-and-out committed and may leave it without a sequel shows something vaguely resembling artistic integrity as a matter of company policy."
Meanwhile, Disney CEO Bob Iger has already released an official statement about "Frozen" and its potential.
"There's a lot of active development. You will see Frozen in more places than you see today. ... This has real franchise potential. We expect to see not just new product but continued interest in this and continued impact on the bottom line for quite awhile. Its success speaks volumes on the future of animation at our company."
There have been some "Frozen 2" plot rumors going around that Queen Elsa will find her one true love in the sequel. It will also show Anna and Kristoff's big wedding.
Other rumors are so far-fetched, but can also be possible. One of which is Queen Elsa finding true love in Olaf.
Since Disney has yet to confirm their plans on making "Frozen 2" all cast, plot and release date rumors remain to be just pure speculation.
What do you think? Should Disney go ahead with a "Frozen" sequel?
