Foo Fighters' songs have indeed captured the interests of many throughout the years.
New reports claim that the band behind "Everlong" is set to release a new album and a mini-series entitled "Sonic Highways."
The first episode of "Sonic Highways" is slated for an October 17 premiere on HBO.
The series documents the recording progress of their new album. According to NME, "The new album was recorded in eight different studios in eight states across America. It will be accompanied by the mini-series Sonic Highways which will document the recording progress. Dave Grohl operates as director on the project, following his Sound City documentary of 2013."
"The LP is due for release in November."
Producer Butch Vig took to Twitter his excitement about the new album, tweeting: "We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album. 23 straight days mixing! IT'S EPIC!!!"
Meanwhile, UK fans will get to hear their favorite Foo Fighters songs in a comeback London gig
in September. The band will be coming back to the UK for the Invictus Games 2014 closing concert. However, fans will be greatly disheartened to find out that tickets for their concert has already been sold out since August 1.
NME added that the The Invictus Games 2014 "takes place at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and sees Dave Grohl and co top a line-up that also includes Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks, James Blunt, Diversity and Military Wives Choir. The 26,000-capacity outdoor concert will take place on the south lawn of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from 5pm to 10pm and highlights will be broadcast by the BBC."
